Beginner Archery – Explore Archery Program

Our Explore Archery Program is designed specifically for beginners who want to discover what makes archery so exciting. This program is also open to adults who are looking for a way to get started without committing to expensive equipment right away. All necessary equipment is provided, so every student can focus on learning.

Schedule: Saturdays at 11:00 AM
Format: Come when you can – flexible attendance to fit busy schedules
Cost: $30 per lesson

Throughout this program, students can earn five unique achievement tags—one for each week they attend. These tags celebrate their progress and help them stay motivated to improve. Each tag represents a vital archery skill:

Form – Establishing correct stance, posture, and alignment
Shot Execution – Building a repeatable, confident release

JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) is a nationally recognized program designed to help young archers develop advanced skills, compete in tournaments, and achieve official recognition through JOAD pins and ribbons.

We offer two levels of JOAD teams:

Team POWERx – Perfect for beginner to intermediate archers who want to advance their abilities.
- Practice Time: Sundays, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Team SPIDERx – Designed for advanced archers who are actively competing.
- Requirements: Must be shooting for their yellow JOAD Pin and regularly participating in competitions.
- Practice Time: Sundays, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Both teams focus on tournament preparation, improving technique, building consistency, and keeping training enjoyable through archery games and interactive drills. Students are required to bring their own equipment for JOAD programs.

Texas Archery JOAD Membership

Membership ensures that every young archer receives consistent training opportunities and access to our professional coaching staff and facilities.

Cost: $100 per quarter (Total: $400 per year) or $350 annually if paid in full.
